30/08/2010Finally a dry track was available for the final race of the weekend - 38 laps of the Snetterton circuit.
For the third race in a row Felipe lined up in 4th place with team mates Daisuke and Carlos lining up on 3rd and 4th rows behind him. The dry surface provided a track that would offer little in the way of overtaking opportunities, the Teams were still digesting the positive News from Circuit Boss Jonathon Palmer that £3 million of improvements due to start soon would improve the circuit that has remained largely unchanged for the past decade and provide better overtaking chances in the future.
A good start would prove to be key in the race and so it proved with Daisuke making a superb start to pass Felipe for 4th place and Felipe slotting into 5th with Carlos 8th at the end of lap 1. Carlos then benefited from a mistake from Oliver Webb to move up to 7th on lap 4 and that was then the end of the overtaking for the rest of the 38 laps with all of the drivers in stalemate in the top 8 unable to overtake the car in front.
The final three rounds of the 2010 British F3 Championship take place at Brands Hatch on September 25th & 26th.
